Rental Terms & Conditions
How it works
Pay the full selling price of the dress upfront. Wear it for your occasion. Return it within 7 calendar days and receive 30% of the selling price back — less the mandatory cleaning fee. Simple, transparent, no separate deposit required.
Example
For a dress listed at R10,000:
You pay: R10,000
You return the dress within 7 days
You receive back: R3,000 (30%) minus R600 cleaning fee = R2,400 refunded
Vintage Bridal retains: R7,600
Rental period
7 calendar days (5 working days) from the date of collection or delivery. Late returns will forfeit the refund entitlement entirely.
Cleaning fee
A mandatory cleaning fee of R600 is deducted from your refund on return. This applies to all rental gowns regardless of condition — professional post-rental cleaning is required on every dress before it can be worn again.

Alterations
Alterations are not included. If alterations are required for fit, a separate quote will be provided before any work is carried out. Alteration costs are in addition to the rental payment and are non-refundable. Altered dresses must be returned in their altered state.
Damage
The renter is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear. Where damage is assessed as significant, the 30% refund will be partially or fully withheld depending on the extent of the damage. Vintage Bridal's assessment of damage is final.
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the collection date will receive a full refund less a R300 administration fee. Cancellations within 7 days of the collection date are non-refundable.
Collection & return
Dresses are collected from and returned to our Pretoria East boutique by appointment. Courier delivery and return is available at the renter's cost and risk. Dresses returned via courier must be insured to the full selling price — Vintage Bridal does not accept liability for dresses lost or damaged in transit.
Documentation required at collection
A copy of your ID and a signed rental agreement are required before the dress is released.
